Port of Tallinn invests in Paldiski South Harbour (10/7/2014)

The port of Tallinn (Estonia) is investing EUR 1.8 million in a project to deepen Paldiski South Harbour's navigational channel from the current 13.5 m to 14.5 m and widen the ship turning circle. The scheme will enable the harbour to accept bigger vessels up to 75,000 gt, and boost its competitiveness.

Paldiski South Harbour is currently a regional cargo port that handles Estonian exports and imports, specific transit goods and ro-ro cargo, scrap metal, timber and oil products. Developing fields of activity include handling new cars in transit for neighbouring markets and pre-sale services.
