in Tema, Ghana in conjunction with Ipswich Town Football Academy.
The CSR project is working with five schools in the Tema area, potentially affecting 2,500 young students. The response from the children and staff involved have been fantastic and very rewarding.
OMA Ghana has employed two coaches who visit each school every day of the week to deliver football coaching and work with the schools’ PE teachers to help them deliver a full range of sports activities for boys and girls. Stage two of the project will be the creation of a football development centre for players identified as showing exceptional promise in the age between 12 to 14 years old.
A committee from OMA Ghana is supporting the coaches and supplying all the kit, equipment and backup they need, as well as arranging for the five Tema school to be repainted to further inspire and motivate the school kids.
