LOT Cargo and JAL Cargo have signed a new co-operation agreement opening up new cargo opportunities between Tokyo and Warsaw for both carriers.
As a part of the agreement, JAL Cargo will be selling cargo space on LOT’s Dreamliners operating and for handling aircrafts at Tokyo’s Narita International Airport on the carrier’s Warsaw – Tokyo route, which operates three times a week starting from January next year.
Cargo director Mariusz Kuczek of LOT stated that according to today’s figures, Japan’s export to Poland equals €1.1bn, while imports exceed €1.5bn per year. “It is a huge potential that we are dealing with. By commencing cooperation with JAL Cargo, we intend to provide our customers with the highest standard of air cargo services. We do expect that the supply chains of our numerous logistics partners will be optimized as well.”

LOT’s service on the route flies three times a week with as much as 65 cubic metres of cargo space and 15 tons of payload available on each flight.
JAL Cargo will also handle the cargo carried on LOT’s planes once it reaches Tokyo’s Narita airport.
