Eurasian rail corridor between Europe and China planning for new developments

The United Transport and Logistics Company – Eurasian Rail Alliance (UTLC ERA) and the Slovak railfreight company ZSSK Cargo have decide to increase their cooperation with regard to goods and container transport services between Europe and China. They have signed a memorandum of understanding to this effect.

Under the agreement, UTLC ERA will be responsible for complete door-to-door deliveries on 1,520 mm-gauge railways and ZSSK Cargo will take over services on 1,435 mm-gauge tracks. The partnership is expected to expand UTLC’s network and boost the development of rail logistics on the Eurasian corridor. (ben)
